This is an awful photo (it is really hard not to get a reflection off the glass!) but this is a blackwork project I worked on in a class with Tanja Berlin at the 2012 Beating Around the Bush Needlework Convention.
Unfortunately I don’t think I will be able to make it to the 2014 Beating Around the Bush, but a class list is available here http://www.countrybumpkin.com.au/webletters/batb/ if you are interested. No, I’m not getting paid for mentioning this on here! I had a fantastic time last time, I worked on a threadpainting butterfly with Trish Burr for one day (her website is here http://www.trishburr.co.za/) and the blackwork fuchsia above with Tanja Berlin (her website is here http://www.berlinembroidery.com/). I haven’t yet finished the threadpainting butterfly but it’s a work in progress…. along with the other million works in progress – I get distracted too easily.
